was there ever an UpCountry edition XJ?

 

NO. There was never an UP Country version of any Jeep. Up Country is an off-road oriented option package, available on certain models, including XJs.

 

oh ok. i meant package not edition, sorry! yeah i just noticed today that my GFs XJ has a UpCountry sticker and i was wondering if its legit. thanks!

 

My 96 has the UpCountry Suspension package. It sits 1" higher from factory, came with skids, and lsd.

 

There's a Country edition XJ, and an Up Country option package.

I have never come across an upcountry however I have seen a few country trim levels at the junkyard one in which was a 2wdIi thought it was a bit odd.

well i meant getting it from her so i can have 2 XJs. and hers is in a bit better shape than mine.

 

not to steal the thread but how do u tell if it has the up country package or not and special VIN marking or number

bummer dude, i got my 96 country but i dont think it has the up country package, no factory skids or nothing, i got the awesome package where my leafs are literally inverted and my rear is about an inch and a half lower than factory. pretty sweet huh?



and idk if this is a dumb question, but whats lsd?

 

I heard the inverted leaf package is in high demand.

But "lsd" is for limited slip diff.
