Default Just installed Neon injectors.

I just got done installing the Neon injectors in my 99 I6 Cherokee. Let me just say for anyone thinking about this mod, it's well worth it. Ordered mine from Programbo, here on the forum. Fast shipping, and the o-rings were in great shape! Great guy to deal with. Had some issues, right after i finished. Took the Jeep for a drive and the check engine light came on. I freaked out trying to think of what i might've done wrong. Went to AutoZone, said it was a cylinder misfire in cylinder 6. Checked it, and the plug wire wasn't on good enough. Put it on better, and everythings good now. I'm not hard on the gas (it's a Jeep, not a hot rod) but i immediately noticed a change in throttle response.

Are these a direct swap-in for pretty much any pre-1999 I6 (Jeep, of course)?

The ones i got were a direct swap. Search for a thread on them to find out which ones you need. I believe half way through 98 they changed the plugs on the injectors. Or, just send a PM to Programbo he should be able to tell you which ones you need.

I'll probably pick up sets for both trucks if I can. How much did they run you?

i believe that for 98 and older you need the 703's and for mid 98 and up you need the 784's. those numbers refer to the last three numbers on the injectors, im gonna do this as soon as a get my paycheck haha, my local pick a part has a million neons there

it's 0280155703, and they're not a direct swap for the older xj's, I forget what year they changed the plug, I wanna say 91. Also you would have to get a fuel pressure regulator to get the 49 psi they need on an older jeep. I know in at least the 97-99 they are a direct swap.

They are a direct swap to older XJ's, 86-99.
The 703 are not for NEWER XJ's but the 784 will fit just fine.

The high pressure FPR is not needed with the Neon injectors, it is needed with lower output injectors like 701 or 710.

most of you guys are saying they work up to 99. is their a set that fits a 00, or do 00's already have an upgraded injector? My rig seems to have plenty of *****, just wondering.
