Ok was going by this chart! BIG Problem! Under option 2 '87-90 it says needs a 91-95 Fuel rail! Fuel rail won't mount to the motor, mounting brackets are way different, Fuel lines need to be changed! And based on some mixed reviews I have seen on if this actually gives you TRUE power and mileage increase kinda of skeptical of doing all this modifications!

better mpg, smoother idle, noticable power gain and throttle response some say.

Stock rail has mounts that are about 2" and bolt horizontally to the top of the motor, 91+ rail mount are 3/4" and mount verrtical

Better fuel atomization occurs when you have the fuel sprayed from multiple ports as opposed to just one port like the factory setup.

So does it make any difference if I have mixed parts? I have a 95 4.0L with the 99+ intake, but using the 95 fuel rail, FPR, and injectors. Should i be looking for the ford 24lb injectors?

Sorry if this has been covered, i did search and have read through 4 threads and pages of info on injectors, but did not find anyone running my set up.

Thanks for the help.

It matters what pressure is at the fuel rail and what electrical plugs you have. intake doesn't make a difference, I run these and have a 99 intake on my 97

Right, and on your '97 your FPR is running at 49psi, so you are getting near the stock cc/min volume from the Neon injectors.

I am running the '95 fuel rail, FPR, and injectors. 91-95 FPR runs at 39psi. Sorry, should have said that in my orig post.

So then i would need to boost the pressure a bit to compensate for the reduction in flow ??

We are testing a Jeep right now, to see what we find. Stock 89 4.0, running option 2, with existing fuel rail. Installed last week, testing MPG. Idles a little smoother, pings at higher rpm, but it pinged before install so not sure if it is worse or the same... MPG is my main hopes, just for fun tried a power brake and it broke the tires loose... So maybe more power....? Will have MPG results next couple days..
