Get rid of the heater control valve and put heater hoses from a later model on instead, that valve is prone to fail and it's not necessary.

Ok cool. Before I run to the store what is a good muffler brand or set up? Is there a way to post vids I really want y'all to hear the noise it is making? It is coming from underneath. (On a side note the lady that owned it before bought it off the lot brand new and told me it was never put into 4wd. I tried it the other day and it was smooth as could be no sticking or anything. Lol)

There are a lot of active threads on this forum about lifts, exhausts, tires, wheels.

Take some time to read them, you'll get plenty of info from them.

Just did a little research and I believe I need a 97 Cherokee heater coil hose. Does that sound right? Sorry for all the questions I'm really not a car guy but when I saw this jeep I needed it lol I was just hoping I wasn't in over my head. I want to turn it into a mud kind of vehicle, we don't have very many rocks here.

How much would a rear main seal leak cost to get fixed? I feel like that is way out of my comfort zone. I am absolutely positive that's what is leaking.

I have a feeling you exhaust noise is a manifold gasket leak. The Xj were notorious for having them go bad.

I bet it's not the rear main seal leaking, it just looks like it. The oil filter adaptor is prone to leak and the oil runs down to the back of the oil pan.

Okay heck yes I will look into the manifold gasket. The lady I bought it from said she spent 1500 back in 2013 on gaskets and tune up. I wish she had the paperwork with that.

There is also oil coming out next to the dip stick. I will take pics in the morning to show what I have to work with.
