interior trim pieces
Howdy... My XJ interior is in need of refurbishing... So I am wondering what the process is of painting all of the interior trim... I have been searching and I see pics, but I am hoping for a write up maybe...
Thanks guys!

The paint you use is important, but not as important as how well you prep before painting. A simple HD degreaser won't cut it. Alot of oils have been soaked into most interior trim pieces through the years. Even if the look faded and dry they are still there. Use high quality strippers and do yourself a favor and use plastic/vinal primer before you paint. I'm repainting the interior on my 87 and it can be very tedious but if you are patient and put the time in it'll look great
Edit: items I don't recomend painting or high traffic items (anything that gets touched/rubbed/grabbed often.)
