9" for 35's good god ! Are you trying to compensate for lack of manhood.
I am running 3.5" and 33's when they wear out I'll be slapping on 35's
My neighbor has 5.5" on 35's and he wants to drop down to 4.5"

I hope your off road park has flat ground and a lot of mud holes and creeks to play in cause that's about all its going to be good for....
you should edit your list and be a little more practical, for one, at 16 you probably wont be able to get insurance if they see this thing, let alone get new insurance once you go over a curb at the mall at the wrong angle and roll it....
seriously what I've pictured in my mind from your description is a mall crawler with 35's and 9"+ lift.....
not practical at all for off-road use being your first vehicle...

a built 74 Chevy Nova, built 350/350 turbo w/shift kit... paid a whole $800 pulled into my driveway and tranny went out (owner told me it was gone) that was my first tranny R&R.... wrecked the car later, 18 I had a '65 Malibu SS, wrecked that one also....
worth a mint today.....yeah I was young and dumb and liked to party (thus the reason I wrecked both)... so props to all you youngsters with your head screwed on straight, seems like just the other day I was 21.... and I'm not that old now... at least in my mind...

I think almost all of us can agree that a 3-4.5" lift is perfect for a DD/WW especially if you're new and don't want to break the bank. With enough fab/work done you can easily fit 35s on a lift that high and have a world's difference in cog compared to 9" on 35" tires and as I said before, the price will be much cheaper

9" is a little out there and probably out of reach of a 16 year olds bank roll. Just getting stuff done correctly is going to be a pain in the wallet, never mind paying for breakage. If this is your first Jeep and off road vehicle, try wheeling the thing stock for a bit to get a feel of it. Do upgrades as you see fit and as needed. A lower vehicle is going to have a better cog. I'm usually the smallest vehicle in the group I wheel with at 3" and sitting on 33's. Where taller guys flop on certain situations, my junk just does. Keep in mind, I keep up with vehicles on tons and 40's. Taller does not mean more capable. I posted three pics for you to check out.
The first is 3" on 33's
The second is 3" on 31's
The third is 4.5" on 34's
They all have a nice stance and don't break the bank. Nothing sucks more than breaking your junk and not being able to afford fixing it... well, except getting in over your head and not being able to even finish your project.

Noooooo that's a no for me I want a jeep xj cause it's the best at off-roading and is one of the best know off-roader. It has way more aftermarket parts than any truck. It has the most parts to build a wheeler and the truck I would only get would be a 77 ford f150. But it's not fuel injected which is a no for rock crawling. Carburetors tend to shut off at a slope, their hard to start and tune. And theirs no aftermarket parts for that truck like their is a xj and couple more reasons is it's too big to wheel where I wanna take my xj when I get it. This is where I started from for build a wheeler broncos most the ones are independent front suspension or ethier ttb. Than I thought about getting a explorer but it's still ethier ttb or independent front suspension. Than I thought about getting a ranger but it's still a Indepent suspension and ttb. I want a solid axle cheapier, simpler, stronger and it has the ability to be locked and it also can be lifted higher.
