Is this a Chrysler 9.25"? I just want to get a second opinion on it.

Any feedback on the strength of this rear end as compared to my Chrysler 8.25"? Is it pretty much a direct swap and worth the time of doing it?

If it has 12 bolts i believe it is a 9.5 axle, It is beefier than the 8.5, as far as bolt it its time to start mresureing up everything, I am not sure maybe someone else here will know gl.{as far as bolting up ,and what else is needed i think a custom drive shaft is in the future though gl)

Yes, it's got 12 bolts on it. I was pretty sure it was the 9.25", but like I said...wanted to get a second opinion. It's just sitting outside in my father in law's yard, taking up space. I figured if it were an easy swap, it'd be worth doing.

According to a chart in one of the replies in that link, the 9.25" is a 31-spline, 1.32" axle shaft. Compared to my 8.25's 27-spline, 1.17" axle shaft, that's pretty beefy. Looks like the general consensus is that the 9.25" isn't as strong as the D60, but is pretty comparable to the D44, but with more ground clearance (which is always a good thing).
Downsides seem to be weak c-clips, and a low availability of gears, which isn't as huge of a concern for me. There's also a mixed response about the durability of the unit. Some people claim poor life expectancy for them, and others claim they've had no issues whatsoever. I'm still undecided...

I think I'm going to pass on this idea. Most of the info I'm finding online is making me want to steer away from them. I don't need to upgrade the 8.25" right now, so I'll just continue to keep my eyes and ears open for another replacement.
