It occassionally reaches 210, but usually says like a sliver before it. Thats normal aint it?
197 is a little on the chilly side for a 4.0. This is the temp reading on my Android Torque Pro app w/ bluetooth ODBII adapter, after driving around for a while. The heat isn't great, either. I backflushed the core last year and all kinds of sewage came out, and heat worked great for a while, and now it's not as hot. Might be worth a flush again.

Is NAPA a rebadged Stant? My local Jeep dealership doesn't carry thermostat for my old XJ anymore Guess I'll order a MotoRad off of RockAuto.

Napa rebadged Stant.

83501426 is early and 52028186 is later stat. I see no reason why they wouldn't be interchangeable.

Its back above freezing here today but was -20 earlier in the week. Other than a little starter drag my 01 xj didn't seem to notice the cold.
