How is your XJ faring in the single digit weather?
My XJ has been a beast in this 0 degree weather.
800+ CCA battery just shows a slight drag, but it pretty much fires right up.
I've been giving it a minute or so to idle before driving off.
Go XJ!

I've got a brand new battery in it, but it wasn't the one I wanted, so I have less cold cranking amps than I would like. Definitely felt some drag on it when I started it yesterday.
Also it does this weird thing where there RPM gauge shows 0 and the fuel gauge slowly climbs up past full and burries the needle . Second time it has done it in cold weather, I just shut it off and start again and its normal.

After rebuilding my starter, a 160 amp alternator and big battery, my XJ is doing just fine at -5*F. Buttery smooth starts with Rotella T6 but I feel like Neon injectors would only help more.

I just rebuilt and installed 703 injectors in mine. Got some crappy 550CCA Battery Warehouse battery that has been doing suprisingly well. Mobil 1 5w30 for now. Runs perfect and starts up fine in -2*.

The only problem that I have had so far is today, when I went out at 4 am.m to go to work, she started fine and drove as usual but, part-way to work, she started overheating (she's NEVER overheated before). It turns out that the anti-freeze was weak and it froze in the single-digit weather. On the way home from work, not a problem. I guess that it's time for another flush and fill. It has been about 7-8 months since I did the last one.

Well after failing to do a flush and fill after a coolant leak in the summer that was due to a missing t-stat bolt. No clue how that happened, replaced it and added water and forgot about. Was reminded this morning when I woke up to a frozen cooling system. Drove an hour to work with obviously no heat, had to, dropped it off at a Midas for a thaw flush and fill. Picked it up a few hours all better. Love these engines but definitely dodged a bullet this time.
