For train horns you need to run a compressor. They sell descent kits online for ~$300. Any other descent horn that has a built in mini compressor that is basically connect and go is probably around $100. I haven't really heard a deep blasting horn with a mini compressor.

In Michigan, Harbor Freight has horns for anywhere from 20-60 bucks. Don't know how good they are though. You can search it on Google and order online.

Well if you're in the market for train horns, you're looking at at least $200-300 for the compressor and another $100 for the horns.

If you want regular horn replacements or air horns, you can pick them up at Advance Auto Parts for $30.

You can get a new horn and wire a switch up somewhere...or get a new clockspring and that'll fix your factory horn and your airbag.

You just gave me an idea. Just noticed today that I have a spare air compressor with a 2 gallon tank. Might be put to use soon..

Don't buy the cheap stuff. You want a real train horn then find a Nathan K5LA Airchime. 144dB@100psi. Actually any of the K5 series (K5, K5H, K5LA) are LOUD (just different bells, number of bells, and notes). These are used on most modern day locomotives (Amtrak, CSX, NS, UP). You will be heard for miles. I have K5LA that once I replace the diaphragms, and a good cleanup is going in the WJ.
