Hello, a few weeks ago I backed into a fence post with my tire carrier bumper in the open position, resulting in damage to my hi-Lift jack. I had to replace the main beam of the jack, but later found this broken pin in the vicinity of the accident. Can anyone ID this pin as a part belonging to the jack? I can’t see where it may go on the jack.
that pin was likely attached to your tire swing out, to support and lock the jack in place. looks perfect to fit through the hole in the top of the main beam, then pin it to secure it.

Thanks, but nope. Way too small for that. That’s why I put a ruler in the photo, for scale.
I’m hoping that someone who has one of these jacks can look at theirs and tell me definately yes it belongs to the jack or not.
i have a high lift, and have never seen anything like that on mine. closest thing on the high lift is the climbing pins, but that isn't one of them.
that broken part is definitely not from a high lift. unless yours is a knock off, but even then, i don't see that being part of it. it definitely looks like a barpin, with the base and linchpin to secure something.

Thank you. That’s the type of info I was looking for.
I’m starting to think it’s a shear pin from a snowblower, coincidentally found in the vicinity of my “accident”...
Ha, no. I forgot to close the tire swing-out, and the top of the jack caught a fencepost as I backed out of my driveway. Bent the main bar of the jack almost 90 degrees.
My neighbor is nice enough to clear snow for me, and he must have broken a shear pin in the exact area, coincidentally. I found the pin parts, and I assumed it must have come from the jack. Comedy of errors
