Help me pick
'95 Grand Cherokee Limited with 96k miles for $3400
new transmission(still under warranty)
new brakes(still under warranty)
single owner
the bad...
chip windshield
broken fog lights
squeaky when i hit the brakes
the pain is faded.

looks cosmetically good
and all he said about transmission was "it runs strong"
here's the ad he made on CL:
"1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L 6 cyl/4WD, ABS, 81,000 miles, one owner,(clean title) good condition interior and exterior, recent tires, new battery. Completely new rear differential (common problem with this vehicle). Motivated buyer seeing people this weekend. Please include phone number in reply."
so as you guys can tell im obviously mechanically challenged but ive been thinking and hunting for a cherokee for weeks. so im looking for guidance here and hope to learn a thing or two

Of course there is no substitute for checking them out in person. Anyway by the description in the adds they both seem like good candidates. Although the '95 owner seems quite adamant about the care, could be true or him concealing something. I'm usually fairly sceptical about sellers.

Umm, in my opinion that '95 looks dated, but i do prefer the zj styling. If it were me i would go with the '99. Although most likely once you get into each of them, you'll prefer one and your decision will be made. Good luck on the hunt.

if your from LA and looking for a jeep good luck, i live in san fernando valley and had to drive to las vegas to get mine.....and for my friend we have been looking for 5 months now and nothing decent (he doesnt want to drive far to get one)
