Default help with installing amp and subs

new to the forums, i got some cheap subs and amp from one of my friends for very cheap, and i just wanted to put them in my cherokee for now until i can save up for some nice ones, im pretty mechanically inclined, just never have done this before and wanted some basic directions, thanks

You will need a amp wiring kit. You can find fairly cheap and complete kits at your local Walmart. Basically you have to have a power wire running from the your battery to the amp, as well as a ground which I have grounded to my back seat bracket. They you need a remote turn off wire going from the back of the head unit to your amp, so the amp turns off when the car is off. You also need rca cables running from the head unit to the amp. Thats pretty much it, more than likely you will need an aftermarket head unit because the factory one does not have the necessary inputs. All of the wiring can be run under the carpet. Your question is kinda general, so if you have other questions about install, wiring, etc could you be more specific?

yea i have an aftermarket deck already, and will the wiring kit come with all needed wires?

they may not come with speaker wire, but that can be picked up at a local auto parts store. Its hard to install the first time without help, but in hindsight its actually not too difficult

yes sir it will i just took this photo few minutes ago. the smallest blue wire the large blue wire one red wire and the light blue colored wire (colors may vary) all come in the kits some connectors aswell.
