Default Hella light cover question

I am trying to find some stone guard covers for my hellas ones that have bars going across it...hella has posted a pic of one on the box of the lights but i have looked everywhere and can not find that product they are displaying...anyone have any luck with that....or does anyone know of any covers that will fit on there....i noticed that the light is like 6.42" from side to side long...i noticed that KC makes a sweet stone guard that has bars going across that says it fits 6" lights....i know i would be a poser but i hate keep having to putting the covers on and off..and i dont want no cover at all...sorry for being difficult

Not to change the topic, but do stone guard covers count as covers to cops?

And is this what you're looking for:

Different states have differing rules. It would be impossible to say but Texas does not consider them covers unless the completely cover the light emitting area of the fixture.

Cops usually don't complain unless you have them turned on while on the road. I don't always have my covers on and have never had any problems. I have even passed a few "hiding" in the bushes on the back roads and I had my high's and my 500FF's on and they didn't do or say anything. Auxiliary lighting is not legal in NJ last time I checked. Up here we have a buttload of deer and bear at night so that may be why, but as far as the cover concern, check your local laws. Some areas only require covers if the are mounted in a certain way or above a certain height.

I hear you. The only hella stone shields I can find are for the higher end models. I'm debating just fabricating a set once I get a welder.

After reading this thread I decided to buy some new covers and went to Amazon and found some clear covers and am planning to paint them when they arrive. The original covers just disentergrated over time.
