Very good Batman, and excellent follow up question!
Like my beloved fourth grade teacher at Woodview Elementary school Ms. Morris, I'm trying to make learning fun.
So we've established that it's a fog light switch. Now we need to know what year the Jeep is.
If you guys try your best, I may pass out juice boxes and read a chapter from "Where The Sidewalk Ends".

Hmmm... I don't see it showing in the interior fuse panel, could it be the 15amp under the hood marked "auxiliary lamps"?
What's the exact issue you are having?

I operated a fog lamp through the switch.
Was lit for about 20 seconds then went out and does not work, so assume I ran too much current through the switch.
Your thoughts?
Thanks

You might want to trace the wires to the fog light or switch. You might have a cut in the wires or rubbing. I am not sure if it will help but adding a fuse or even a relay to some how control the flow of current. Not an electrician here.

The switches are prone to failure I guess. Pop it out and see if its burned up.
Anyway... does the indicator light on the switch light up? Do you have power at the fog light end of the circuit? Perhaps the light itself is burned out?
More questions than answers.
