ive had this problem come back numerous times. ill be driving then my rpms will jump all over and then my xj will die. ive swapped computers alternators new battery new coil new tps new cps checked the grounds made even more grounds and sometimes itll work sometimes it wont. but now it sometimes will blow the fuel ecu fuse and one other one that is the same size 30 amp all the way to the right that is horizontal but it is not labeled. checked fuel rail getting 40 psi when running but idk if its constant cause i can never keep it running. any ideas. im on my last nerve with this thing and im tired of being left stranded.

I would suggest having a good look at your wiring harness, around the engine,o2 sensor ect. If you are constantly blowing that fuse something is shorting to ground. Maybe someone with acessto a diagram for that year can narrow down what is on that circuit.

You have a short in one or more circuits. Fuses don't wear out, they blow when there is a short to ground.

i figured it was a short somewhere. while it was running we jiggled the wireing harness everywhere and nothing. and dumb question but the fuel system ecu is the actual ecu for the whole car right? or is there a seperate module for that and if so where is it so i can follow the wires from the fuse box to that and find the short.
