Default "FULL LEAF?"

Does anyone know the difference if a FULL LEAF lift kit and a regular lift kit?
I was looking into the 3.5 lift kit and im on the verge of buying one. I rarely ever go off road, just really looking for something that rides really good. Not looking for FLEX really. All input is appreciated. THANKS. BUTCH.

by regular leaf kit do you mean AAL ( add-A-Leaf )
If you do, and your looking for a good ride, stay away
get new full leaf packs
Difference is the aal is just adding to the leaf springs
you have now, AALs make for a rough ride, and will sag
and a full leaf pack is just a new set of leaf springs
and that is what you want.

More concerned about the sagging than a rough ride personally. Adding a single leaf to a pack of worn leaves does not make the worn leaves not worn anymore... Get full leaf packs.

Agreed add a leaf will go bad a lot faster and start to sag where as full leaf will be a better ride last longer and won't sag anytime soon.

This link is for a full leaf with a 2" lift already added, with a medium duty rating:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16090_5054.htm

This link is for a full lift kit that includes an add a leaf for a 2" lift
http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...ode=sus_xj_kit

as you can see the add a leaf just adds an additional leaf to your already existing leafsprings, where as the OME(Old Man Emu) is a full leaf pack with all new leafs already assembled. If you check out my pics, I have the OME full leaf packs brand new as of June, 2010. Good luck!

edit: go with a full leaf pack, you won't regret it.

Full leaf, meaning 2 sets of LEAF springs (one on each side in the rear), 4 shocks (2 in front, 2 in back), and 2 COIL springs (one on each side in the front).

A full leaf lift kit gives you brand new leaf springs which have the lift already added in. Add a leaf (AAL) kits give you one single leaf spring to add on top of each of your stock leaf spring packs.
Full leaf kits are more expensive, but they replace your already worn stock leaf springs resulting in better ride quality and they also last longer. <---- Go with the full leaf packs if you have the money.

Also, if you go more than 2"-3" on the lift you'll have to start thinking about driveline issues, such as a transfer case drop and a new track bar. Some other stuff, I think too, but I only went 2" so I don't know what else, a more experienced member could tell you though.
