Mines been temperamental, but the steering was real loose and so we fixed the pit-ment arm and all of the sudden it got the death wobble, so i got mad, parked it and drove my Hornet to school... Then it gets Bumped/hit in the parking lot and now has a new dent. So it was stupid of me to park the jeep!
Realized it also needed a track bar, fixed that now no death wobble, but then it got low oil pressure, so i threatend it and it and it hasnt done it sense.
Havent done anything stupid wheeling it yet, i dont know were any spots are at
I parked it on a snow bank at school then the fuel injectors started leakin..

Damage wise, The dumbest xj moment (so far for this one) was in january while wheelin a freinds land. Trying to make it over a log obstacle between two trees. here the obstacle...

doesn't look like much, but me being dummy, I said I'm not airing down, don't need to, and I was open diff.

After multiple trys, I waffled the gas at it, Jeep bounced off a stump and faceplanted into the tree, lol.

Crinkled the rail behind where I had reinforced it from its previous accident, also broke my bumper, but at least it protected my radiator, lol.
Later that night, when trail riding was over, I took out my rear hatch glass on a low hanging limb, didn't see it backing up.

Dumbest thing i ever did. Best one was took my gf with me on a 4wheeling trip. it was her first time every going. well i saw this puddle that i havent seen before out back 60 miles from any close civilization. Well turned out that puddle was about 3 feet deep. I just sunk the passenger side into the hole. shes screaming for all get out and she tries to open the door but it didnt even move. she thought she was gunna die. after lke 25 min of me trying to dig my self out. My gf see a turtle and wouldnt let me try to wedge out of the hole. so im about 4 feet in on the passenger side and the driver sides alot higher than she was. no one came down that trail all day so i got out. sunk about 2 feet in my boots and tried to find a tree to tie the winch off to pull me out. i get the winch hooked and started pulling myself up when the winch shut off. i get out again and go bang on it a couple times. it finally kicked in again. so i start pulling get the jeep to like 5 grand and gf screaming the whole entire time and i finally hit a good spot and the front kicked me out. I will never forget "ahhhhhhhhhhhhh oh look a turtle".

Sounds alot like something I did!

I was with a buddie (the smart thing I did that trip) who had a F150 FX4, we were at the spot we always go to. There is a puddle that we've never tried to push through, there has always been a bypass. Since we had trucks this time and not quads I decided to try it. I told my buddie to hang back in case I got stuck, and I started creeping in.

At first all was good. I could feel solid ground under the tires, so we kept going.

Creeping, creeping, tires barely half covered by water, creeping, creeping, still ok, creeping...HOLY **** WHO PUT THIS DAMN LAKE HERE?!?!?!

I must've found the ruts or something because in the space of one forward inch the front of the truck dropped at least a couple feet. Water was pouring into the cabin, and it was well over the hood.

My first instinct was to jam it into reverse and try to get out. Luckily I was able to do so, my main concern was injesting water and turning my motor to scrambled eggs.

Somehow I managed to keep all water out of the intake, but my cap/rotor were soaked, so I had to nurse the truck home running on less than 6 cylinders.

Lesson learned, though.

I'll never try and conquer an obsticle unless I know what I'm getting myself into. If that means taking a stick and poking the bottom of a mud puddle, I'll do it.

Well when I got it I had to move all of it so I could actually put stuff in it like my bike and anything long. Took out all of his screws and then built a sick shelf/rack for the hardware and Hi Lift gassed her up and hit the trail. It wasn't long before we started smelling gas. Stopped picked up the rubber bed liner in the back and the carpet was soaked with gas. Look underneath and sure enough there is evidence of gas leaking out of the top of the tank. So whats a true Jeeper to do you ask?? I found that ****in' screw cut out the gas soaked carpet and pad and ran that ***** right through the floor and back into the tank. If you believe it when I take off the gas cap it lets out pressure so that screw sealed her up good!!

X2 on wheeling alone!
I wanted to see how far I could get through the local creek bed on balding street tires! (curse these self-challenges)
Welllllll......I made it pretty darn far (locker in the front doesn't hurt)
but when I got stuck I was a few miles from home...alone.
Had to walk out through a couple cow pastures, and hitch a ride.
Some kid picked me up and informed me that the fish and game didnt want anybody down there anymore (damm enviro-*****) and I would be fined if caught. (I've been off-roading that creek since I was a kid....CA sucks!)
.................................................. .................................................
next day I got a high-lift..........
