Getting ready to go doorless today, I'm gonna pull everything out if the jeep that I couldn't stand to part with, but one thing that occurred to me was my floor mats.
I have the 5 piece Husky Liners in my Jeep and would really love to keep them in the jeep while I run doorless because they go a LONG way in keeping it clean.
Im reaching out to you guys to get some opinions on how likely you think it is that someone will steal the liners out of the XJ.
My thought is that unless you really knew what the liners were and how much they are you'd have no reason to steal them. Which I think is unlikely.
Thoughts?

Like gee said, if you're really worried, take em out each time. Otherwise, just leave 'em in there but fasten 'em down somehow.

What they said ^^...but if you were here theyd go missing. My damn tool box went missing while the thing was in my driveway...and I live in a decent neighborhood.

x4 Might be able to get away with it for a few days around here but eventually someone would notice and decide you don't need them anymore.
You could get a cheap set and use them when your doorless.

Appreciate the input guys. Got the doors off and am really liking it so far. I'll probably end up pulling the mats out.
One thing that popped in my head as I parked it the first time, put in first and put the e-brake on was.... Huh. I guess some one could just reach in here, take it outa gear release the ebrake and let this beast roll on out of here.
But no ones gonna do anything like that...right?

Drill pilot holes and then put in self tapping screws with washers so it does not pull the mat through.Originally Posted by ASA-Z33

The way I look at it is if they want it bad enough they're gonna take it regardless if the doors are there or not, like said that's what insurance is for. Guys have been going doorless in Wronglers, CJs, Early Broncos, and Scouts for decades, if there is anything of value just lock it up in a lock box or something or just leave it out altogether.

My daughter and son in law. got rid of their Geo tracker years ago because the top kept getting slit and the stereo removed. I like the things in my XJ, and would also like to keep them. Good Luck to you. So what do you tell the Police or Insurance company, When they ask if the doors where locked?Originally Posted by KotaKid287

If its a clean interior you want then doors may help.
If I had no doors someone would, pee in it, throw rubbish in it,roll it down the road, cats would crap in it,and when it rains ....well.
Good luck anyway.

Well, the doors could still be locked when stored in the garage.Originally Posted by 91 limited owner
