I'm very interested, as I will soon be doing something with mine and am checking out options. So you scrubbed the foam off and just primed the board? Any particular kind? And did you use the painters touch in the spray can? Will anything rub off if a kid runs their hands on it? (I've got 3 that ride with me often)

i dont remember the exact name but i think it was gripper/ sealant and primer... as for it rubbing of it has yet to do it on me and im alwas touching the top.. but be careful cuz the foam isnt that strong the primer help alot but i think you can still push through it...
Also just used used a foam roller 2 coats primer and 3 coats painter touch

those whits speakers and tweaters look great, But... its going to make you a target man, even if your windows are tinted they will be easy to spot and make you a target. im just saying, I hope you have a good security system. Mine got broken into a while ago

Very cool, thanks for the info. At this point I'm a little more interested in a painted finish than another fabric covering, so this really helps!

i have wanted to paint them but the speaker are one piece and i dont want to paint on the cones... but im in the process of doing a security system that will annoy everyone in the general area so i dought they will want to try... im goin to connect a single trian horn to the alram system so its loud as **** and the cops are called immediately and will prob scare the **** out of the thief...

Glad i can help 4door....
