haha thanks
To fit that, you need to hack out a lot of plastic back there, and that stuff ain't the easiest to cut, that said, its nothing too crazy, just cut out the room in behind and in my case it was a tight fit, which holds it in there pretty good. Then you trim up the front plastic there (needed the edges cleaned up in this pic as mentioned)
then...
comes your wiring nightmare hahaha
I got the coolant bottle from a zj and put it in, and ran wires in to the cab for it, then the washer fluid one i rednecked with a simple circuit.
as for the door sensors, i went to each door and ran a new pair of wires to each, then those all went up to this thing, and thru another simple circuit so that each door would make each seperate one on the screen change (factory wiring would show all open at once otherwise) other then that, nothin really much to hook up.. just hooked the 4by light wires to it, headlight on, and dimmer wires, and one for the speed sensor (so the mileage to service thing worked).
That's about it really, everythin hooked up fairly easy, and worked nicely (and best of all looked cool )
the only things I never did hook up (due to laziness) was the thing that ties into your signals (it would beep and warn you the signals were left on) and the thing for the annoying beeper haha
If i get enough interest i will make a little write up on how to do it, when I get me a new XJ to put this all in.
Hope that answers any questions you may have, otherwise, feel free to pm me.

(Note to self: Take some recent pics of XJ interior ...)
Gee, let's see ...I have painted the dash 3 times (a different color each time. Most recently, tan); ZJ shifter; switches for lites & locker, Tuffy center console storage, Wet Okole, stereo, white face gauges, Husky mats, headliner w/ built-in sound bar (not stock on my XJ), contrasting visors to match seat covers, 2 amps, A-pillar tweeters, 8 other speakers, cubby hole sub, and most recently a bad-*** ABS plastic storage unit that fills up the entire floor. Pics as soon as I can get to the XJ.

As for the 97+ XJs; they are available. I went and searched ebay for a set and the only thing that came up was this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00...Q5fAccessories
You would have to have a Cherokee SE to get them because there is no tach, water temp, oil pressure, or ammeter.
If you have a base model, you're good to go! I'm going to keep looking for a set and if I find anything I'll be sure to let you know...
Update: http://www.pedal-2d-metal.com/ has a set. They're more expensive but they do have all the gauges. Problem is, they're glow gauges not "reverse glow gauges" like mine. So instead of your numbers only lighting up, it would be the entire cluster.
