Just going to put this out for you, you're wrong lol the d30 is better than a I.f.s. and many of the late models come with a 8.25 which is comparable to a d44. This is assuming its a later ish s10 with a 10 bolt axle. In which a 8.25 would still be better.

I thought a s10 used a diff or gear box..bolted to the frame with 2 cv axles (IFS)..

Yeah its a center mounted diff with half shafts and a arms.The sucky part you can't even get any type of locker for the front not even a full size gm truck ifs either.
