Default Cherokee Sport 1994 dent fix

Hey everyone,

I recently have acquired my first jeep. The engine and all is well except for this side panel that is dented. Does anyone know a good way to replace this dent? I have read some and was thinking that I could maybe do the 2x6 mod to fix it. Could anyone point me in the right direction to get this dent fixed? Thanks!

damn. that's a pretty nice dent. gonna need a BFH and some bondo. 2x6 rocker mod would make this process easier
you'd only need a SMH and a little bondo. and some paint. and a welder etc.

What is the best way to approach it? Just cut and bang the dent out? Is it worth my time fixing?

depends on if the door closes or not and how much you really care about a dent in your jeep
I can't really tell from the picture. is it just the rocker? how much further does the dent go into the body/door jam/doors

The door closes completely. It seems to be more than the rocker, its bent till the lip where the door shuts on, but not any further.

you might have to treat this like rust and do a rocker replacement
do you think you would need to hammer it from the back side? and do you have access to a welder and a slider hammer.

hmm without looking at it, the only way I know how to fix an inaccessable dent is to weld on a nail and bang it back with the slide hammer
if the dent is just on the rocker and you plan on off roading I would just do 2x6 rockers
here is a rocker replacement thread

righteous plan. I'll be doing the same thing here as soon as I get my ruffstuff frame stiffeners on there. a great building point for bomb proof rock sliders and 18% off till aug 4th. just sayin
