Default Cherokee project

I thinking about buying these two 88 cherokee sport and i want to make a bad jeep out of them. I was think about doing a engine swap to 04 chevy 5.3 and i wanna know what all I would need to replace.

Not entirely sure but basics would be new motor mounts, wiring harness, ecu, transmission, and possibly make some cuts and custom fab in the engine bay. You may just want to build that 4.0 it would be a lot easier and cheaper.

Not to burst your balloon, but if you have to ask, are you up to the task?

Alot of fabrication/wiring/welding involved here.....

You don't need to have all the answers to get started, but you do need time, money and patience.

Its a long list of pretty much everything from fuel wiring cooling trans t case.And probably both front and rear axles,The front would depend which side drop t case you use.
