Cheap off road equipment??
Hey everybody iv been into jeeps a long time and just now got onto a forum. I bought my project 92 cherokee about 2 years ago. Recently put a 4 1/2 inch short arm lift on it 1 inch tcase drop. Im looking into buying a front winch/stinger bumper and also a back hitch bumper. Any suggestions? And i also wondered how much difference would be made with different upper control arms still running stock. Lowers are fixed for the 4 1/2 lift.

One's focus in offroad gear should not be the cheapest stuff. All of your driving buddies are going to first laugh at you when your stuff breaks on the trail, then they might express other emotions as they pull your rig out of the muck and try to get it drivable again...and you might be swearing a bit too as this all unfolds, wondering why you bought the cheapest crap to make your rig off-roadable.

I would lose the t case drop for a sye a hack and tap is cheap and you use a factory xj front driveshaft.Cheaper bumpers you can go http://aresfabrication.com/ but hes not known for shipping stuff out on time waits can be months sometimes. The other option is some places sell diy bumpers that you weld up yourself if you can weld or know a friend.

His products are beef. Everything is laser cut, cnc press broke, with cold rolled steel. When you actually see his product next to another companies these details really stand out.
If this tells you anything about him, he built the bumper for my JK and I requested the d-ring mounts be up on top. No problem, he fills in the old mount area and freehands the new locations on top. I stop by and he shows me the bumper, it looks awesome, and then he tells me I can't have this one and he's going to build me another one. Why? One d-ring mount was slightly off. Seriously.
And yes, I am friends with him, but I was a customer first.

This sort of thing just baffles me
Maybe there's a market niche for some plastic imitation bumpers, tow hooks, hi-lift jacks, etc
