Just wondering...anybody here ever go to any of the 'big' Jeep events like Jeep Beach, the Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion, Jeep Beach at Pismo, Bolivar or anything like that? Some look like they'd be kinda fun, but from what I've seen, looks sorta like one would not be particularly welcome if your vehicle is over 6 months old and the driver much past the age of majority... Any experience or recommendations? Thought I might try to go to one this year maybe.
While I haven't been to any jeep related events I always find you can strike up a friendly conversation with just about anyone when it comes to a shared interest. There will always be jack wagons, don't sweat it and move on.
Most people I've met on the trail have been friendly even got a few beers for lending my tire deflator to get a fellow unstuck on the beach. Side by side users the exception, avoid at all costs.
I've been considering going to the MORR offroad games, seems fun but its more spectator oriented, not that you can't just wheel the park thr day before/after.
