Default BFG's New Mud Tire

Just a heads up for anyone needing new tires in the near future. Bfg is releasing their new mud tire, the KM3, in june. Ive heard some rumblings about it, but my boss just got back from a trip and he called to tell me they did a demo on the tire. Everyone was buzzing about it when i first heard about it in April.

the km2 is a damn good tire as is, but he said the new km3 is better. They dont sing/hum on the highway as much as the km2 and other mud terrains and he also said the new compound is ridiculously good. They have sizes available but prices havent come in. They'll be more expensive then the km2 of course, but i'm not thinkimg by too much so they can stay competitive.

just a heads up for anyone looking into tires now.

I have been waiting for them to finally come out of the closet I will say that I saw a test vid on them at Moab and was not impressed. However, to be fair, I thought the tire was inflated too much for rock crawling. So the jury is still out for me.

everything ive seen on them is showing me they are a top quality tire. Boss said that they are a bit softer then the km2 which should equal even better traction. The km2 is a damn good tire so even more traction should be awesome. Couple of my buddies do nothing but crawling and they swear by the km2 so they are already "pre ordering" them from me hahah

i will say, i am damn excited about the release haha

I prefer the look of the KM2, maybe the KM3 has thicker sidewalls. Give me a BFG that runs true to size.

I run KM2s also and am very impressed with the overall tire, and traction in rocks is impressive

thats why i'm so excited to get these in. If the hype around them comes remotely close to what they actually are, we'll all have a massively impressive tire.. theres total excitement amongst the tire community for these.

New models dont come out as often as in other industries, so its always and event when a new tire is set to be released haha

I agree. Looking forward to it. Going to be in the market for some 37s next winter, and those will be on the list of tires to consider
