I have been lurking on here for the last month and just registered today...
I picked up a beater 96 XJ Sport with 4.5" lift on 33's for camping an hunting here in SoCal. I purchased the Putco wiring harness and figured while I was installing it, I should do the headlights too. I was stuck on the Hella's for a minute, but am liking what I see with the Autopals (and the price).
But they do not look the same as the ones have seen posted on here. The ones on Amazon seem to be clear without any vertical lines (like the Hella's). Can someone point me in the right direction or give me an exact model number to go with (HL 109 I think?)?
Awesome forum, I have learned a lot already and have many projects ahead of me!

The ones with the glass lenses are better than the plastic ones (which you linked) when it comes to lighting, of course the plastic ones are harder to break.
The E-code lenses give you a better pattern, but they don't "officially" met US DOT specs so this may be an issue if you live some place that requires inspection (for some reason glass e-code Autopals have been hard to find recently)
The DOT lenses are legal in all 50 states and are still a big improvement over the stock sealed beams: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTOPAL-7X6-HEADLAMP-CONVERSION-WITH-2-BULBS-DOT-COMPLIANT-H6054-HEADLAMP-/110881253343?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19d109a7df&vxp=mtr
(Note: regardless of what you get is it highly recommended to replace the included bulbs with something better for best results)
I was leaning toward the Euro model for the better pattern. I looked on Autopal's website and the only 200mm H4 7x6 I could find was this (http://www.autopal.com/products_detail.php?pID=11). In the purcture, it has the vertical lines in the lenses making it look similar to the OEM headlights. I don't want the flat lenses, they look like something that should be on a rice burner.
There is no headlight inspection in CA that I have heard of in my 24 years of driving here, so I am not worried about DOT.

He sells them for almost twice the price then adds shipping go with rimiinc. He has been the main supplier for Autopals. He sells two different options the dot euro and then e codes. The E-code your unable to find on ebay for some reason but thru his actually website you can find them.
200mm Autopal Euro Headlights http://rimiusa.com/index.php?main_pa...pss0ipii51fo26
I have the dot euros and they are a improvement but they don't not have the sharp cut off pattern, I as for the e codes they should as many people on here can vouche for.
My ipf and Hellas have the sharp cut off.

That's who I was looking for, that is who I bought mine from, but I didn't see his e-bay listing (didn't know he had a site now) which is why I linked the other one.
