"Fabrication is reserved for completed and under going projects, not for questions and general chat about fabrication.

This is NOT the location for questions about what you want to do, they belong in cherokee chat. This is NOT the location for trimming fenders, rattle canning your xj, lift questions, installing new carpet or anything small like this. This is for REAL fab work that you are currently doing or have done and how you did it. AKA, Exocages, Frame stiffeners, Bumpers, DIY beadlocks, etc. This is where the big boys play.

If you do have questions the best option is to search (top right of the website, down and to the left of your username) but we all know that can be an overwhelming tool. That in mind I have compiled a few of the most common things posted here that do not belong, and you may find them useful and informative "

Yes, it's been done before.

Calm down big boy. Your life isn't gonna end just because someone posted in the wrong section.

No, but it clutters the section with posts that shouldn't be there, and makes more work for the mods. Why get down on somebody for informing someone who obviously doesn't know the rules? Just report the thread and move on in the future. I have reported this thread, so no need. Mods, edit as necessary. Thanks.

Sorry, didn't mean to come across like an a-hole. These open ended questions don't get very far though.

The time you would have in fabbing the brackets you would be better of buying the ruff stuff brackets for 40$ a peice.
Actually, get everything from them unless you can get a better price on DOM.
Ruff stuff 7/8" heims and their over the axle and frame side brackets are the shiz.
Do some research. Or go to fabrication and scroll down until you find my one ton steering build.
Read through it. It's got alot of good info and towards the end is when I build the panhard bar

everyone was new at some point xjlimited don't take it offensively. assuming that i don't know what i am doing was pretty harsh considering you have no idea. xj wonders you did a awesome job, did you drill out the factory tapered balljoint hole? and what do you have running through it now?

He never said you didn't know what you were doing. He simply copy/pasted the very first page of the sticky for the fab section. You know, the one with the rules...that asks you to read it before posting a question...that everyone ignores.
