It was never about winning or losing, it WAS about an opinion. Right or wrong came up because you stated that Warn was made in China. There is still NO proof that any real offroading Warn winches are made in China. By ALL MEANS, feel free to CALL Warn.........here is their contact information. Ask where their offroad winches are made....please. Then tell the forum

the kind of information I was wanting to see if you could produce. Now I can admit that I'm wrong (because I have NO problem admitting when I'm wrong) and you can rub it in my face, if you'd like. I've been told from day one that Warn was made in the US, even by someone I always considered a Jeep GOD. I never doubted his information or his sources of information. Now I'm eating boot pie. Looks like I'm the fool here. I formally apologize for the hard time I've been giving you about Warn. I'll even let you pull me over an obstacle with your Smitty if we ever find ourselves on the trail together.

Warn winches are not made in China. Where in God's name did you get that idea? Log on to their website. Does it say ANYTHING about their winches being made in China?
For the record, I can bash whatever winch I want, same as you. You're bashing the Warns because you have a $h!ttybilt. I'm bashing the $h!ttybilts because I have a Warn. Simple enough. Don't get your panties in a wad over someone else's opinion, especially when it comes via the internet. My Warn has had the $h!t kicked out of it for its whole life and still continues to perform like it was new. In that light, I'm going to recommend Warn. The Smittybilt that my cousin ran on his 'Yota for a year burned out within 8 months of being brand new. Not a good track record, IMO. But continue with the debate, it's fun...... You can't compare a Chevette to a Corvette. It may get you to the same places, but the performance differences are HUGE.

So what, our Jeeps aren't as built as yours and we aren't in a position to drop an almost ludicrous amount of money for a 9,000lb winch, doesn't make you any better than anyone else on this forum. As a matter of fact, ragging on people like you are just makes you an a$$hole.

oh and I have had warns they are great.. I dont care where it was built... I have a champion 8000 that was 300 bucks with mounting plate on my float.. works the verybest also... I have haulded about 50 jeeps and other trucks and cars up on the float for the past year... works the best everytime...
the main thing about a winch is not where it was made, not what the name is, but if its on the jeep to pull it or someone elts out when needed...
oh and ****** 55 wells said.. Canadina army many years ago but still remeber it all...
