I agree with pretty much everyone on here. haha i mean when it comes time for me to buy a winch i'm buying a warn. just because when i need it they have that legacy to perform. just like when i bought my jeep cherokee i didn't buy it because i knew everytime i might really need it it's going to let me down. but then again in essence without competition there's no progression. because if it weren't for companies like warn or Jeep or Clayton or BDS companies that make amazing products, expensive as they may be in my opinion there well worth the money you spend because they'll never let you down. but at the same time i agree with whoever said that every company has there duds. I hate the 90's mustangs (non 5.0) but i love the old school 67's the Ford GT but at the same time i'd never own a ford pickup. if i was buying a truck i'd buy a silverado all day.

and just because somethings made in a different country doesn't make it any worse. all those other countries like India and china do is follow our designs we make for them. unless it's a complete chinese company.

Dude......are you $hitting me? Have you even looked at the links you're providing? When was the last time you saw ANY of those "Warn" electric winches you linked on an offroad vehicle? Lol......and that second link isn't even a working link. Give it a rest dude. Seriously. You're losing the battle and making yourself look like a little crybaby. I was content with leaving it alone, but you keep dragging it back up. NONE of the information you provided shows ANY of our offroad winches being made in China. NONE. At this point, you're making Smittybilt look bad just by being a representative of their product.....

Very True, It should read "assembled in USA" with parts made elsewhere ....LOL

Warn winches are not made in China. Where in God's name did you get that idea? Log on to their website. Does it say ANYTHING about their winches being made in China?

For the record, I can bash whatever winch I want, same as you. You're bashing the Warns because you have a $h!ttybilt. I'm bashing the $h!ttybilts because I have a Warn. Simple enough. Don't get your panties in a wad over someone else's opinion, especially when it comes via the internet. My Warn has had the $h!t kicked out of it for its whole life and still continues to perform like it was new. In that light, I'm going to recommend Warn. The Smittybilt that my cousin ran on his 'Yota for a year burned out within 8 months of being brand new. Not a good track record, IMO. But continue with the debate, it's fun...... You can't compare a Chevette to a Corvette. It may get you to the same places, but the performance differences are HUGE.
Your Signature needs help.

Improper use is almost always the fault...Over loading because of not using a ****** block to double the pull and cut the load.

How do you figure? Click Vs. Klick? Click is the churched-up civilian version of Klick. Most civilians wouldn't know the word klick. Using it in context the way I did makes it easier to figure out for the average person. I'm former military.......I MIGHT know what I'm talking about when it comes to this, especially since I had an MOS of 11B and an ASI of B4.........

You'r right ,I'm wrong.Talk to people with Warn winches and have them look at the product and see where it was made. You'll be suprised .I'm not marketing for Smittybuilt I'm just saying they are well built for the money and Warn is over priced. The only one looking like a cry/forget it.I'm not going to be brought down to you'r level like you want me to be.You win,I lose. The end!

It was never about winning or losing, it WAS about an opinion. Right or wrong came up because you stated that Warn was made in China. There is still NO proof that any real offroading Warn winches are made in China. By ALL MEANS, feel free to CALL Warn.........here is their contact information. Ask where their offroad winches are made....please. Then tell the forum what you've learned. I didn't want to take it this far, but you're forcing my hand.

At ease Soldier.........I was bouncing quarters off my bed before you were born. You seem all bunched up in a knot, When I was in we walked softly and Listened Carefully and Never caused trouble with anyone. That's why they called it "National Defense" not offense like you seem to lead towards. So lighten up and enjoy this Forum and you will discover that it is full of very nice people who are willing to help everyone and each has his own opinion. Go with it, Dude.
