everyone here needs to realize there's a difference between Manufacturing and Assembling.

Lots and lots of things are assembled here in the USA, but one or more of the parts are manufactured elsewhere and shipped here.

Quote: ah-64 attack helicopters are made in phoenix arizona and ch-47 heavy lift helicopters are made in philladelphia.
assembled yes. I'd be willing to bet serious amounts of money that one or more of the computer parts in them were manufactured in China or some other Asian nation

Quote: You.

And you.

Both need to grow up and stop ragging on other people because they don't own a WARN winch or don't plan to buy one. So what, our Jeeps aren't as built as yours and we aren't in a position to drop an almost ludicrous amount of money for a 9,000lb winch, doesn't make you any better than anyone else on this forum. As a matter of fact, ragging on people like you are just makes you an a$$hole.

If you're seriously going to act like you have been on this thread, do ALL of us a favor and go join all the douchbags at Pirate who think they're better than everyone else.
do some research dude. I bought mine warn years ago used for the price of a smitty. try again. before you open your mouth you might want to look into it a little further.

also if im such a a$$hole like you said, please put me on your ignore list.

Well, this has been very entertaining with a little knowledge gained. I think Troy's original point is valid. That of trashing someone else's stuff. Myself, I bought a Mile Marker once because it was the only one I could afford and I thought that their name meant something. Now, after not much use, I have something that is only good for holding the shop floor down. The wife saw it fail and told me to get a good one, so with her blessings I bought a Warn. Now the question is, would I do it differently now. As I said, I bought what I could afford at the time. Most on this forum are in that situation. So today given the same circumstances, I would get the Smitty Built or a Superwinch. But with the budget I had when I bought the Warn, I would get that one again.

Getting tired of having to be the bad man who issues infractions all the time here, it really takes away the enjoyment of this site when it's a source of constant work when i log on.

That said... this thread needs to be cleaned up.. and i'll do it later. But as a warning the next to bypass the language filter is getting a time out.

Some need to realize that their opinion is not the word of God, and there are reasons why some opt for a cheaper product hoping they can get by with it for their applications. Not everyone is going to agree with you.. deal with it.
