Default Unused Electrical Plug

I forgot to take a picture but when I removed my front bumper there was a unused electrical plug in the center of the grill. It kinda looked like the stock plug for the fog lights. I'm 100% sure it was not for the fog lights. Any ideas?

Probably the temperature sensor for the overhead console. You probably don't have the console, right? So the plug is empty.

Your right, I don't have an overhead console. Did 97-01 have overhead console's?

Hard to find, you just have two of them eh?? haha. I was thinking either the ambient air temp sensor (as you've alread stated) or possibly for a block heater, but I don't know if Jeep ever put block heaters on their vehicles.

Was thinking the exact same thing... I am working on trying to source one of these for my Cherokee.. Sorry to theadjack... but was wondering does this thing have more brackets than are already installed stock?? And is the complete harness there, just waiting for the console and the sensor??
