Troy Fritz......Did someone get his little feathers ruffled by an opinion I made in another thread? I couldn't find the crybaby smilie, but you get the idea.

Warn winches are not made in China. Where in God's name did you get that idea? Log on to their website. Does it say ANYTHING about their winches being made in China?

For the record, I can bash whatever winch I want, same as you. You're bashing the Warns because you have a $h!ttybilt. I'm bashing the $h!ttybilts because I have a Warn. Simple enough. Don't get your panties in a wad over someone else's opinion, especially when it comes via the internet. My Warn has had the $h!t kicked out of it for its whole life and still continues to perform like it was new. In that light, I'm going to recommend Warn. The Smittybilt that my cousin ran on his 'Yota for a year burned out within 8 months of being brand new. Not a good track record, IMO. But continue with the debate, it's fun...... You can't compare a Chevette to a Corvette. It may get you to the same places, but the performance differences are HUGE.

I think a guy can buy whatever they want. Ive seen Warn and Smitty built winches and they both work great, it probably just depends on how its treated.

Dude ,I wasn't bashing Warn.I think they make great winches.I'm just tired of people like you that bash things that people work so hard for and are proud of.That would be like you getting what you think is the ultimate Jeep then everyone ragging on it.You wouldn't like it ,would you.My winch may be a as you call it a sh!ttybuilt but it gets the job done and then some for 1/3 the price.I'm also tired of people that know everything about everything and everyone else is wrong.I make mistakes too and man up when I'm wrong. This debate will probly go on for ever so I'll be the man and back off.Sorry if I ruffled you'r feathers I was trying to make a point.Apparently you can't see it.

Once again, it's an OPINION. We don't have to share the same opinion. It's ok, it really is. You didn't ruffle my feathers. I don't take things personally when typed into cyberspace. The internet is full of opinions. Since you own a Smittybilt, you gave a bunch of reasons why you like them, and an example of a Warn going to $hit. I own a Warn, so I gave a bunch of reasons why I like them, and an example of a Smittybilt going to $h!t. There was no difference in our posts except that I started the debate by saying Smittybilts were junk. Maybe I was wrong in wording it that way, but that's the experience I have with Warn vs. Smittybilt.
