Default Are 96 Laredo motors compatible with 95 laredos?

Hey I got a problem with my 96 Laredo and I got a killer deal on a 95, both are 4.0's.. Are the motors and the transmissions compatible? Could I swap either one?

The engines aren't compatible because the 1996+ models had a different PCM (computer module). The 1996-2004 engines are interchangeable since they use the same PCM.

Completely untrue.

Those engines could care less which injection system they're run by.
