sorry, front drive shaft. sandwiched in between the two u-joints that make up the double cardan joint.



you can remove the front drive shaft and still drive the jeep while you rebuild it.

Ok, question: the chirping occurs most during 2wd while pressing the gas from a dead stop..so... How can the front be causing the chirping if I have it set in 2wd only?

It were the rear u-joints. Vibrations and "angry sparrows" are gone.
