2014 Jeep Cherokee
Still trying to wipe all my regurgitated breakfast off my iPod after that article. Oh and to the guy who said a patriot could outperform an XJ off road, please tell me you are joking. One of those things would be stuck or hung up on a boulder 50 feet into any trail around here, because IFS/IRS has no articulation.

That thing just looks like an Infiniti, ugly and not jeep like.
Though I was thinking about it and xj's are just station wagons with solid axles and unibodies that twist like wet noodles so a set of solid axles under any of these non-jeeps and they would then be real jeeps

Ever wheeled a stocker? They are a lot more capable than they look. I may scrape parts against rocks and slip tires, but I have no trouble following my buddy in his TJ rubicon on 35s, and I've had people on the trail ask me how the hell I got a stock Cherokee up there

Yea, two. You can't follow a rubi on 35 where you need that size tire and lockers. A blue trail, sure. But not anything more difficult than that. Sorry.
Wow. alot of fanboys here. Get real people. The XJ platform is awesome but it is not as capable as a rubi on 35's...sorry, and to think it is just shows you have no clue about wheeling. I love my 98, went crazy places with it, but as soon as i wanted to hit the real trails i knew i needed at least 33's.
