Default 2001 cherokee: PROs/CONs

I've got a chance to buy a 2001 cherokee in great condition, 50,000 miles. Any pros/cons for the 2001 model. I have a '96 and a '99 and I'm happy with those, just considering adding the '01 to my collection.

Only down side to a '01 is the LP D30. But that's a easy swap..

WRONG. One time and you are NOT done. You may be pushing your luck, but not necessarily done. I know becasuse I have friend with an 01 who overheated it and it's still going strong with over 100k on it.

You can replace the head with an earlier model and or/different casting. Go check out Advance Auto Parts website and see. I'm looking at it now and I can get a #0630 casting for $432.99.

I don't have any genuine complaints about my 01. I've also heard that the heads crack around 50k-70k. Not sure if that's entirely true but it is what I've heard. The coil pack is kind of a pain to deal with for spark plugs but otherwise I think it's a pretty good XJ. Last year model.

I have an 01' and have had no problems with it. Runs quiet and sound.

All pros.....just make sure you buy spare parts for trail breaks. These trucks are awesome because the parts are so cheap and available.
