1999 Cherokee Sport Mechanical Start up issue

i had a similar issue with my 99 last year. first thing i did was take apart all the grounds and sensor plugs and clened them with elect contact cleaner. added some dialectric grease to all sensor connectors and grounds and grounding staps.

it worked for a day then acted up again. I then removed my connectors for the cpu and again cleaned with contct clnr and gooped it diaelcetric grease. she's been fine eversince. not one issue.

i would do this before testing/replacing any sensors. do the the cheap stuff first. good luck and i hope this works for you as it did for me.

I think its CPS
did you read the code ?

Thanks, will do all these things tomorrow i really want my jeep running fine cause it drives like it owns the road. Keep you posted

is it coils line late 99-2000-2001 have coils check it they go bad any time
its like missing !!
good idea to check :
injectors
spark plugs
injectors wires

don't forget the CPS, if CPS (buy Mopar or OEM don't go with any other brands )
let us know what is this

Read the codes at auto part no codes came up. My spark plus were changed recently and ill check the coils. I bought the electronic connection cleaner while I was there unfortuanetly it got dark and i wasnt able to clean them. Will do it tomorrow. Ill let you guys know how it goes.

Still haven't cleaned it but for the past 2 days the start up has been perfect. Im waiting for the problem to come up again and then clean. Will keep you guys updated.
