Ok.I have a 89 wrangler I know what to expect from it.the elec carb and "5"speed I'm comfortable with...we've had it for 20years now....my rokee has no distributor, its auto, and will be my dd for a long time.besides the obvious upkeep what should I work on...it pulls strong,I don't want to be banned but,I want to work on a streetable locker/rear set up and pull from the 4.0...its not a carb setup like the 89....injectors?chip?

Well if there is nothing wrong with it, there really is nothing you should do except for general maintenance. If its new to you, go ahead and give it a full tune up.

00-01 XJ's have the 0331 cast head which has a bad rap for cracking, so I would focus on a Taurus e fan to replace the clutch fan and a 3 row radiator. These will definitely help keep the engine temps down. Hood vents allow heat trapped under the hood to escape easily. 784 injectors will give a smoother idle and better throttle response (i have a set if you're interested).
