Painted Steering linkage/suspension... Opinions? Pictures?
What is your opinion on painting the steering linkage/suspension components other then black? Too flashy? Lame? Cool? Amazing? Tell me what you think, and post pictures of your painted suspension/linkage components!
The reason I'm asking is I'm upgrading my front axle and while it's out I'm debating whether to paint my drag link, control arms, coil springs, sway bar, and tie rod silver, or black. I'm having a hard time deciding.

Imo, i like it. I like a cleaner and nicer looking jeep. I painted my shocks, stabilizer, swaybar, diff covers, tie rod, and drag link silver to match the lower side of the body of my Laredo. For your i personally feel since its so clean and nice looking it would be totally worth it. Black with a tasteful hint of white to match the body, like say the diff covers.

I think it would be very tasteful if you matched steering and diff cover with your wheels
such as a silver diff cover that matches your beadlocks with black bolts
then silver knuckles and black linkage or vise versa

Thanks for the input guys... I'm liking these ideas. I just started phase one of the whole front end painting operation. I got my new front axle painted, and I decided to do the diff bolts silver, so it matches what i did with my rear axle all ready. I figured since my wheels have a black center with the "beadlock" silverish, I would do the same with the diff covers having them black and the outer bolts silver. However i do like the diff cover silver with the bolts black idea... Maybe I should have done that.... Oh well, I'm over it haha. Now I'm still undecided about everything else.... Fail. I'll have the jeep in the garage tomorrow to rip the whole front end apart so I can get the front axle swapped and paint everything so I gotta make some decisions soon haha

i like subtle colors. and the more badass the rig the flashier the color scheme can be and get away with it. painting stock components bold or bright colorsjust screams "lookie at meeee lookie at me!!!" rock rash and the weather around here makes everything under the jeep look like crap eventually though, so i usually just go with a quick coating of semi gloss black once a year.
