good score. that's a nice machine. i would have snapped it up too, for that price.
i prefer a mig machine for mig, a tig machine for tig and a stick for stick. i guess that's why i have four welders. had five, but gave away my little suitcase stick. i know i will regret that, i just didn't use it, but i know there will be a time i will kick myself...

This was the first weld I've ever made today. I guess I can only get better with practice!

Just keep at it. Remember to look at the puddle and make sure you're contacting both pieces of metal.

Dont rush yourself.

Thanks. That was fluxcore, and I need to double check the polarity bc when I set up my Lincoln 140 I'm not sure if I originally set it up for mig. Seemed to be a ton of splatter. Tomorrows another day.

Ive just been using fluxcore as well. I really need to get a gas bottle and then I can MIG. Fluxcore is way hotter and doesn't look as good as MIG. But then TIG looks way better than MIG or Flux welding lol

I bought the welder with intentions of burning in stiffeners in the near future. I'm guessing most people will recommend using gas but I'm just trying to learn a little technique first. I plan on buying sections of steel the same thickness of the frame and stiffeners to practice bc I really dont want to burn holes through the unibody.

If you burn holes, you can refill them with weld then get a grinder and make it smooth.

Yeah just getting some metal and practicing will help a ton. The more I weld the better I get.

Ummm I say n to torch welding.

I'd look at everlast dual voltage unit's. I wouldn't buy something limited to 120.

A everlast mig tig stick or even plazma cutter all in one machine could turn you into a hero if you put in the time to learn
