I wonder if it would look too ghetto if I took some flat brackets and screwed them to that inside lip then took a bolt and a wingnut and used the wingnut on the inside to hold it closed. Hmmm..

remember the old school ghetto sun roofs on some cars that u could actually take out , where it would pretty much hook in at one end and have a latch type deal that would lock and hold tight at the other side, you might be able the find one of the latchs in a junk yard and make it work and figure a way to make it slide in at the bottom , if you can follow what i mean, its kinda confusing to type exactly what im talking about

yeah like the kind used on t-tops or something. I can see that working but expensive because I would have to find them somewhere online as there is a severe lack of any kind of JY here lol.

no junks yards down there ? that sucks , if i find one around here theyd probly sell it for 5 bux , but if you can search around for just some sort of latch like that one i think it might just work with the right brackets

Yeah my next day off I am going to home depot to see what I can find then go from there. Maybe even something like the kindof latch that goes on brief cases.

Yeah, I don't have that part yet but home depot does sell it in pre cut chunks. I have not measured to see how big I need but the pieces I saw there when I was looking for a quick fix looked like they would work.

Mine does not have the rear wiper option so I don't need to worry about it.
