Want to try something different.
So, just to bring anyone who reads this up to speed.
A few nights ago some drunk moron decided to throw a huge rock through my back window. Now, with it gone it made me think up alternate replacement ideas.
First Idea I had was to get one made out of boat canvas or something that could be snapped on and off.
Second Idea was to just tear out the rear carpet and bed line it and leave the window out. That could get a bit annoying due to the amount of windy days we get around here and the exhaust sometimes floats inside the Jeep.
Then while talking in the "late night post *****" thread It was suggested to me by 4.0 Cherokee to just replace it with plexi, all well and good but I really am getting into this removable back glass idea. SO after a few minutes he suggested holding the plexi glass into the window frame with some plastic toggle type things. I have seen them used and know what they look like but can't for the life of me think of what they are called.
If anyone has any idea what they are called and where is the most likely place to pick some up please let me know. I have looked around on the internet and can't seem to find what I am looking for I keep coming up with is stuff like this
http://www.shoponlineaabbcc.com/push...e-toggle-clamp .
I really want to try something different and I think it would be really cool to be able to pop that back glass out for driving around on the beach or on hot summer days.
here is a quick ms paint drawing to illustrate the idea. Hopefully it will make sense when you see it.

Again thanks for any info!

It sounds like a pretty good idea, but instead of those toggle things, you could use a latch type thing. The kind where you turn a ****, it pulls a hook tight against another hook thing. The **** folds flat too. I forget what they are called, but maybe someone else knows.

Yeah I thought about something like that too. Anything similar will work, just trying to figure out the name of what I am looking for so I don't go into a store "yeah I am looking for those things that attach this way and turn and to that" lol

I was thinkin 99 cent bunji cord. But getting it to fold IN would be difficult because there is a lip that the factory seal sits in and on so it would prevent it actually folding in. I could have it fold out fairly easy by getting a cheap spring hinge or 2 and one of those locking turn handles like they have on the truck bed covers.

That's $20 for a set of 10. They lock in place when you press down and give them a half turn. They're used on a lot of fiberglass bodied race cars of different styles.

Oops. I didn't realize the mounts were sold separately but here they are. They're $13 for a set of 10 and this style is welded in. Here is a description from Summit's website for the Dzus fasteners, which are the name brand pieces of the ones I linked too.
"Are you adding lightweight or custom panels to your racecar or street ride? Panels that you want to be quickly removable? If the answer is yes, Harwood Dzus fastener kits have what you'll need. They include all the pieces necessary to add things such as lift-off hoods, front ends, rear decks, and other removable body panels."
