love the concept and how they reseamble BW flat flare. i think if they were more squared off and not rounded the the BW flat flare and maybe the ends were fabbed a bit so you couldnt quite tell it was rigid yard trim these would be great flares!!

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but for what you are doing and spending i'd put my money into a sheet of kydex .... Just a suggestion .... you can heat it in the oven, place it over a mold and it will harden and hold, even comes in different colors and for the redneck in you camo ... I first learned about it for making a holster ... My 2 cents

Was looking at kydex, not seeing any uv resistant material. Looks like it is all for interior use. Could be wrong.Originally Posted by ChillyWilly72

I hadn't even considered that, but there are uv resins that you can coat the finished product or kydex 510. Someone will have to be a guinea pig, maybe me, but far in future because i am just starting my build.

I like what the OP did with a few dollars worth of lawn edging and aluminum bracketry. I'm thinking of using contractor grade lawn edging myself, as it is supposed to be somewhat thicker, durable, and more UV resistant than the home-owner-project stuff, but also tends to be somewhat more expensive. But the use of 1/8" aluminum looks to be strong enough to hold everything together for a lasting fender-flare-setup. Now, where'd that rivet-nut-set tool of mine get to...?
