I really wish I had thought of that before

I actually need to try to make those welds a little better and add frame tie-ins.
That's exactly how I was planning to do it.

Yours are a good bit higher than mine. I only had to trim about half an inch of of my doors.

Ignore the old ugly slider thing I had on there (It's not there anymore) but this is the best picture I have of how high mine are.

ah I see. yeah you'd definitly need the tie-ins on the inside for that. I did the ones on my black jeep similar to yours and they just folded that piece of sheet metal in to the point where I could close my door over it

I think I'll be happy with these. what do you guys think about doing boatsides? I would need to incorporate them along with a removable belly pan that bolts through the side of the uniframe..

When i do mine id liket hem to be removable also.maybe fold the bottom over the 2x6 and tap some threads in the 2x6 since the fender is easy to get in there . Washer and a bolt .dunno.

I thought about that too. Fold an inch over, drill a hole and bolt it to the slider.

Those are old. Those are in a scrap pile now. I have a brand new set of uncut late model fenders sitting beside the Jeep ready to go on.

I wish I would have done what Lowrange said with his pinch seam, I cut mine too close to the frame rail. By the time I am done with my tie ins it should matter though.
