Default Power inverter idea

This was not my idea, my brother is working on it for his jeep but I just wanted to see what other people thought of it.

Here is what he is doing. He was planning on mounting a power inverter inside one of thoes army ammo boxes with switches and the outlets cut into the sides of thebox. The cables fo the inverter would come out the back of the box so it could be moved between different cars. I will try to get some pics uploaded soon.

let me know what you think, any potential problems or what not?

Heat! Put a screen in one end and a small cooling fan in the other to keep it from smokin'.

if im not mistaken, those get hot, and need air flow around then, which wont work in that tight of an area

Yep, I was thinking heat might be a problem also. I think a small fan (sorta like in a computer might work) Here is on pic I have.
