Back in town although I dont know how much progress will be made on these over the next week (factory shut down) except keeping the dialog open.
As for the wiring, would an extra hole in the bracket be what is wanted or just drill a hole in the pillar? I would also recommend the silicon, if your drilling 2 holes to mount whats one more.
I dont see why the price would be more than 40-50 and depending on demand I might farm them out to a local metal fab shop and powdercoat in house.
Those asking for Pm's just go through and read the thread to get up to date, they're not ready so I'm not taking orders/money just yet. Thanks to those who have answered questions too.

If drilling a hole does not cost you any extra you might as well do it. Then, if the customer wants to use the hole they can or they can run it there own way. It leaves the option open. Me personally I would not run it through but the hole would not bother me in anyway.

Sweet, hole it is.
I'm going to bend up another today with the dual bends, the hole placement wont be right but at least it'll tell me if it'll work. Pics shortly

Any updates? The axle just blew the other day in my Jeep so I probably wont be able to afford a set for a bit, but I can't wait 'till I finally get my hands on a set.

The differential locked up driving home the other day. I don't know what went wrong, I had the diff open this past summer and the gears were all in mint condition and everything was tight. The diff is still full of royal purple gear oil. I have no idea what caused it to lock up other than a bearing failure.

Its also possible you had a u-joint seize and thats the issue. If anything but the ring, pinion bearings are shot its an easy fix. Otherwise your front axle is basically a lost cause. It'd be easier and cheaper to source a replacement than to fix a broken one.

I'm pretty sure the gears are destroyed. The axle completely locked up at about 15mph. I can now take the pinion yoke and move it any direction, including in and out about an inch or two. The whole situation also destroyed the front shaft and broke the trans mount. I'm really surprised that's all it did TBH... I guess that shows my front suspension and trans/ transfer case are pretty solid. I'm going to pick up a high pinion axle and a new front shaft from the junkyard, aswell as a trans mount from the autoparts store. I pushed the Jeep under its' own power with the front axle locked up for a couple blocks just to get it off the main street, it seemed to handle it well.
My Jeep's currently parked in the yard which is a muddy sloppy mess from all the snow melting, so I don't want to work on it there and I can't leave it torn apart in the driveway, so I'm just going to get a new one from the junkyard and open the old one up the day I replace it just to see what happened, but either way it's getting replaced. The wheel bearings on this axle have less than 25,000 miles on them and the shafts have less than 40,000 on them so I will be pulling both parts and keeping them around just incase. I will probably also keep the diff cover, or just sell that for a few bucks and take the axle to the junkyard for the core. Hopefully the axle isn't too hard to pull at the junkyard, I had to cut the lower control arm bolts on mine when doing the lift because one snapped and the other wouldn't even budge. The junkyard doesn't allow power tools
That could definitely be a problem.
