Default A-Pillar Light mounts

You guys are killing me. I've spent my whole day at work cruising the site and even starting modelling some mods in Inventor. I dont even own an XJ yet.

My first mod is some A-pillar light mounts. I measured a co-workers car for fitment. They're 0.125" thick aluminum. You guys would know better, do you think that'd be beefy enough? I could always add a bend and weld it to cross brace it but I was going for simplicity. I've also got some countersunk holes for some s/s flathead screws.

I think you would need a gusset on the light tab to resist vibration and getting bent down

I would suggest something to brace the light mount tab to the body mount.

and if you make something like this....make extras to sell.

Yeah I saw that, no offense to guy but these would be punched and CNC-bent. If there was enough interest I could run more after I get the initial set tested for fitment. I think it being out of 1/8 aluminum it would be strong enough but I agree to go beefier. I added the gusset and the 2 tabs would be welded together, its just not shown on the model. LMK what you guys think now...V2

i think they look good and functional. production cost vs selling cost would be a determining factor. if it all adds up correctly....they could boom.

there a different design, so why post that link in this thread?

no reason to act like a dick about it.

What size hole needs to be done for the light mount? I ordered a set of Hella 500's but they wont be here until the end of the week.

Since it looks like there is enough interest after I run the mock-up and test that it fits, the angles are right, etc. I'll make a run of them. I'm going to see about some costing from our shop today. I've got some Q's for you guys

-What would you pay for this design? I'm guessing these will be $40-50 but I'd like to know from the buyer
-Would you want them raw aluminum or powdercoated black?
-How do these other ones mount, do you take the interior a-pillar stuff off and use nuts?
-Hole size for the light
