Those are some good looking pics of the front bumper. You did a good job. I know you're gonna post more pics tomorrow, but are you planning to put additional support on the rear that you haven't shown yet?
i plan on making some gussets to connect the mounts to the bumper itself and run a piece of 1/4 down the bottom of the frame rail where the hitch was mounted kind of like JCRs. we will see how it turns out though. thanks about the front bumper i pretty proud of that thing and how it turned out. the rear is going to huge the body pretty good too i hope.

That's cool. Just wanted to make sure. I didn't want to see you end up with a nice strong front and a weak rear. You'll definitely get yours finished before mine. Now I can copy yours this go around.

not trying to poop on your party but I wouldn't exactly trust those stock rear mounts for a custom rear bumper. Personally I'd recommend cutting a hole and having rectangle tube go into the rear frame rails and have bolts go all the way through the frame rail and tube.

Looks good Matt. Just keep in mind what yu plan on using it for, and that the more weight you add.... the harder it will be to keep up with me

no dont plan to at least not just yet. only on 31s right now so throwing it on the roof rack aint that hard. now when i go to some 35s then probably.Originally Posted by knobturner75

i was going to but decided otherwise. didnt want to mess with the spring mounts as im sure one side will break off, that and didnt want to try my hand as some nut strips. i am however mounting it to the bottom of the frame rail like the hitch was though.Originally Posted by ZachsXJ

hmm maybe a locker up front would help me keep up if and only if my driving skills wontOriginally Posted by PingPong

. it is going to be a little on the hefty side though
but oh well.had to do a little thinking on this and how i wanted to corners to be but i think i will end up cleaning it up pretty nicely i hope. the 2x4 on the sides is going to have a piece of 2x2 connecting it to the frame rail too. still have to make that too. then plan for the gussets and filler pieces for the lights. all the finishing work is going to be a little tough but hopefully i get the right look
oh and my cresent hammer. that pic is for derick.
